Church Christmas Letter

Season’s Greetings,

It is the most wonderful time of year! It’s Christmas, the time we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

We are so excited for the many different activities planned for this Christmas season at CV to get us all in the Christmas Spirit. As you know, our goal at CV is to take opportunities to share our love and a caring spirit with our loved ones and those who are less fortunate.

To show our love and Christmas Spirit to each other and to our Pastor, his wife and daughter, we are asking our CV family to please get a card or write a note letting Pastor Andy and his family know how much you love them. Please enclose a love offering as well. We will have a special gift bag for those who worship IN-HOUSE so that you may drop your card on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

If you are going to be worshiping on LIVE FEED, please mail the card along with your Christmas love offering directly to Rev. and Mrs. Andy Lambert, 970 River Rd., Cropwell, Al. 35054. We hope you will be able to do this so they will receive your offering by Sunday, December 18, 2022, or before.

If you have any Christmas cards for our CV family, you are welcome to bring them to any service for you to hand them out. If you know that someone to whom you wish to send a Christmas card does not worship IN-HOUSE, there will be a basket in the foyer to place them in and Pastor Andy will deliver them. We will have some mailing labels runoff and place them on the information table in the lobby for anyone who wishes to use them. You also have access to CV CONNECT mobile app and there are printed versions on the table as well.

Our CV family continues to grow, God is blessing, and the Holy Spirit is moving in a wonderful way in our worship as we sing praises and listen to Pastor deliver the Word of God in a powerful way.  There is nothing greater than being together with our brothers and sisters, in the presence of the Spirit of God.

Although COVID is still prevalent and Flu seems to be touching just about everyone’s family, we are thankful that we can still come together and worship. While there are still many who are having to worship with us on LIVE-FEED, we thank God for this avenue of worship.

The list of activities happening at CV are detailed below. Let’s have a great ending of 2022 with wonderful fellowship with our church family!! It’s not about us but all about HIM! The birth of Jesus Christ!

• Sunday, November 27, 2022 – The Sunday School classes will start decorating their class doors. The church will vote on the doors between Sunday, December 11 and 18, 2022 and each vote is $1. All monies will go to the Home for Children.

• Friday, December 2, 2022 – Coosa Valley Women’s Ministries Christmas Party will be at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall; join us for a great time of fellowship and good food; see Sis. Kerri Lambert or Sis. Frances Masters for more information.

• Saturday, December 3, 2022 – Sis. Amanda Maddox’s Sunday School Class’s Christmas Party will be at her house at 4:00 p.m.; parents, please see Sis. Amanda Maddox for information.

• Sunday, December 4, 2022 – This is the last day to have Christmas photos taken. Pictures are being taken every Saturday and Sunday until December 4, 2022. Please see Sis. Stephanie Nichols to schedule a time for a Christmas Mini Photo Session.

• Saturday, December 10, 2022 – Men’s Christmas Breakfast with Pastor Andy at Jack’s in Pell City at 8:30 a.m.; come and let’s have a great time of fellowship.

• Sunday, December 11, 2022 – Sunday School Class Door voting begins; we will have the pictures of each door on our social media pages and on the screens at church; of course, you are welcome to go upstairs to see the doors as well. We will have containers in the foyer for the $1 vote, all monies will go to the Home for Children. Voting ends on Sunday, December 18, 2022. (on this date ONLY) the first person that comes up to Miss Kati and says “and the cow jumped over the moon” will receive a $20 Zaxby’s gift card (on this date ONLY)

• Sunday, December 11, 2022 – Church Family Christmas Fellowship at 4:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall; let’s enjoy a time of finger food and wonderful fellowship with our church family.

• Friday, December 16, 2022 – CV Teens & Young Adults will be going to Noccalula Falls Park for Christmas at the Falls. We need to know how many are wanting to attend, so that we can book our time and pre-purchase tickets. Our plans are to leave the church at 5:45pm and go to Noccalula Falls Park; our time to enter the park will be at 7:00pm. Afterwards, we will go to Barone’s Pizza & Arcade. Noccalula Falls Park will be $10 a person (Children 3 and under are free) and Barone’s Pizza will be $12 a person (if we have over 12 attending). Please click this link –> {https://cv7.co/nZfE} and let us know how many will be attending. • Sunday, December 18, 2022 – The last day for Christmas Ornament orders is today; the monies from these orders go to the Home for Children; see Sis. Kerri or Sis. Frances for information. This is also the day that you can bring your Christmas Cards to the church and hand them out to everyone. Please don’t forget your Christmas Cards to Pastor Andy and his family to show them how much they are loved this Christmas!

• Sunday, December 25, 2022 – Christmas Sunday Worship will be at 2:00 p.m.

• Sunday, January 1, 2023 – Sunday Morning Worship at 11:00 a.m. ONLY
