UPDATE ~ Pastor Andy ~ I have spoken to Bro. Emory this afternoon and we have some good news. Sis. June Ann is starting to talk a little more and is moving around some as well. She still has a road of recovery, but we are definitely on the right track. Continue to pray for her and Bro. Emory both!
UPDATE ~ Wednesday, Dec 6 at 10:55 – there is really no change today. The neurologist will be in at some point today.
Pastor Andy ~ I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on all that is going on currently with Sis. June Ann Davis.
On Saturday afternoon, around 5:15pm, she started hurting in her abdomen area. Later that evening, she had Bro. Emory take her to the emergency room, the pain had gotten so bad, and by 12:15am, Sunday morning, they had transferred her to St. Vincent’s downtown. The doctor’s said she had a kink in her intestines that would need to be fixed by emergency surgery. They took her into surgery around 12:15pm and said it could be several hours. Later on Sunday afternoon, around 4:00pm she had made it to her room from recovery and the surgery went well. She was ok, just some pain from the surgery, but all was ok.
On Monday morning, she started having a few small issues that seemed like it might be giving her some problems, but none of this was due to the surgery. By Monday afternoon around 4:30pm the doctors and nursing staff believed more was going on. They took her for an immediate Cat-Scan. She was not talking, was having problems remembering who people were and where she was at and her heart rate was really high. At around 7:00pm the doctor had let the Bro. Emory know that the cat-scan was normal and they would be running lots of tests on her blood work to pinpoint what was going on. A game plan would be put together by Tuesday morning.
As of this post, Tuesday, 4:30pm, today has been no change for Sis. June Ann Davis. Another team of doctors will be seeing her tomorrow. She is still not talking with the family and shrugging her shoulders when asked a question. They are giving the medication and fluids via IV and keeping a close watch on her blood pressure, heart-rate and sugar.
Bro. Emory would love to hear from anyone, so you can call or text him to check in on them. I will keep this post updated with new information as it is available. Please keep Bro. Emory, Sis. June Ann, Angela (their daughter) and the family in your prayers.
