THE EXPANDING CHURCH

 

  1. Philip the Evangelist’s Ministry (Acts 8:4-13, 26-40)
  2. The Apostle Peter’s Ministry (Acts 9:32-43)
  3. Gentiles Receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:1-2, 19-20, 30-48)

                                   

Central Truth:  The Holy Spirit gives power and direction for ministry.

Focus:  Respond to the story of the expanding early church by praying and cooperating with the Holy Spirit for the advancement of Christ’s church.

Evangelism Emphasis:  We must depend on the Holy Spirit to convince people to believe in Jesus Christ.

 

Golden Text:  “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14).
