Sermon Outline for Sunday, July 3, 2022

Pastor Andy Lambert

PASSAGES:   Philippians 4:13; 2 Corinthians 12:9–10; Ephesians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 9:8; 1 Timothy 1:12

Philippians 4:13 ~ “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

As a servant and minister of God, I need to be and should be content in all circumstances no matter how bad or how good those circumstances are – because THOUGHT CHRIST I have freedom!!!

Christ does not do everything for the believer; neither does the believer do everything for himself. Both Christ and the believer have a part in conquering circumstances that we face in life. As a believer, I need to declare – I CAN – and get up and face life and circumstances head on. When I do that, Christ steps in and strengthens us as a believer. Christ infuses strength into our lives as we tackle the problem.

Facing reality, there is no strength needed for one UNLESS we are facing and struggling against the circumstance.

As a believer I don’t need extra strength to to arise and face the circumstance. Any believer, no matter who they are, has the strength within them, to arise and face any circumstance that we confront.

As a believer, I don’t need strength to begin to struggle to conquer and solve the circumstance, I have the strength within me to fight against the circumstance that confronts me.

When facing the circumstances of life and we have exhausted what we can do, exhausted all that is within us, Christ steps in when our strength is no longer sufficient. It is then that He is able to demonstrate His wonderful love and care for us, His dear servant; God will provide!

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ~ “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Ephesians 3:16 ~ “that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,”

2 Corinthians 9:8 ~ “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

1 Timothy 1:12 ~ “I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service,”
