Don’t let the urgent take the place of the important in your life.
Another saying would be … Poor planning on your part doesn’t constitute an emergency on my part.
So many times, the urgent can take more of our priorities than they should.
1 Thessalonians 2:1

Be Biblical

1 Thessalonians 2:2-4

Let’s look at the thoughts Paul has in these verses:
  • When he spoke surrounded by the strong public opposition, it was the “gospel” that he shared (v. 2)
  • The very foundation of his being was not error, but rather the truth of the Scriptures (v. 3)
  • He considered the Word of God as being entrusted to him and that gave him such security and confidence that he didn’t feel the need to become a people pleaser (v. 4)
How do we stay Biblical in our daily walk? In our priorities? We must daily soak ourselves in the Scriptures. We must not just ready a few verses here and there, we must scan the Word of God and assimilating our lives into the Scriptures.
Hebrews 4:12-13
Descriptive isn’t it? The principles and precepts of the Scripture touch where no surgeon’s scalpel can touch, the soul, the spirit, thoughts, attitiudes, our very being.
