This Weekend
Just as a reminder of a few things coming up this weekend …
- Our sermon this Sunday is entitled “Have You Lost Your Gourd? (That is spelled MIND!)” Take a look at Jonah chapter 4:1-11 prior to the service. Next Sunday, we will look at “Others Who Have Lost Their Gourd”. Looking forward to great services!!! Join us NOW in prayer for our upcoming services.
- On Sunday, October 23, 2022, we will have Membership Service during the Morning Service. If you are wanting to join the church membership, please reply to this email or call/text the church at 205.642.8744 so we can move forward.
- Also, on Sunday, October 23, 2022, we will have a CV Fun Day at Turner Family Farms (7700 Stemley Road; Talladega, AL 35160) immediately following the morning service; they will have Food Trucks (Johnny’s BBQ, Crickets Sweet Treats, & Traffic Jam) on site, petting zoo, hayrides, mazes, farm slides, corn pit, corn dig, games, playground and more. Cost is $12, but if you are at church on the 23rd, we will tell you how to get $2 off your admittance. (Great day to wear your CV SHIRT!!!)
- NEXT WEEKEND, On Sunday, October 30, 2022, we have TWO wonderful chances for a great time of FELLOWSHIP. One is the Women’s Ministry Meeting at 4:00pm. Let’s get together, get to know each other, have fun, fellowship and learn more about God’s Word! Current “Women With a Mission” Missions Project is “Ukraine, The Journey Home. Come and hear more about this great missions project. The next is a Church Wide Bonfire!!! Guys, as the ladies of all ages are meeting inside for the Women’s Ministry Meeting, let’s fellowship outside! After their meeting, we will have continued fellowship, a bonfire, hotdogs and marshmallows to roast, games and more. Let’s get together and fellowship!!!
