Vision Statement
The Coosa Valley Church of God is a church making an impact on our community by reaching out and showing God’s love in a practical way and by providing a nurturing environment where God can be fully experienced!
Mission Statement
The spirit of the Coosa Valley Church of God fellowship is to come together in one accord to worship and praise God in Spirit and in truth. The Coosa Valley Church of God family is a body of believers who are concerned about the spiritual welfare of each individual. We are loving, encouraging and praying people who genuinely care about the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Above all, we desire to see the lost saved and brought into fellowship with God, through faith in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost.
We enjoy the freedom of Pentecostal worship in gospel hymns and praise worship offered up to God. We endeavor to seek God’s direction for every ministry of the Church. Our prayer is that God will always bless us in the things we do in His service.
The Vision and Mission of Coosa Valley Church of God are carried out under the following four principles:
WORSHIP
We want to provide an atmosphere where people can come and express themselves and feel the presence of God in their lives.
LEARNING
We want to provide a place where people can learn more about God’s Word and have a better understanding of the doctrines and principles revealed in the Scriptures.
CARING
We want to develop an atmosphere of unity and love. We want to reach out to each other in the body of Christ and provide support, encouragement and edification.
SHARING
We want to reach as many souls as possible with the gospel of Jesus Christ through any means available.
Pastor and Ministry Team
Our Pastoral Team and Ministry Team recognizes the authority of God, and realize that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Administrative Leadership Team
Our Administrative Leadership Team includes Pastor Andy Lambert, Emory Davis, Chuck Wilks, Kevin Kimberly, Tony Benefield, Dan Kennedy, Mike Masters and David Nichols. Also included is our Financial Administrator, Stephanie Nichols.
The Financial Leadership Team will follow, to the best of our ability, the leadership structure as laid out by the General Assembly of the Church of God. The Administrative Leadership Team, under the direction of the Lead Pastor, shall promote the general and state outreach programs of the church. This team will work in harmony with the Lead Pastor and assist him, when called upon, in the institution and direction of the local church program and promoting the CV Vision and Mission Statements. The Administrative Leadership Team is not a voting board, however, they are advisers to give direction and guidance to the Lead Pastor in areas such as Financial, Facility, and Operational/Spiritual.
