We are thankful to the Most High God because He is our:
1. FOUNDATION
Matthew 6:16 ~ “And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.”
- As the Son of the Living God, He is the basis and foundation of the Church.
2. SUPPLY
John 4:10–11 ~ “10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” 11 The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?”
- As the Living Water, He supplies and satisfies.
3. FOOD
John 6:51 ~ “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.””
- As the Bread of Life, He feeds and nourishes us
4. POWER
John 7:38 ~ “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ””
- As the Fountain of Life, floods of living water flow from Christ into us.
5. ACCESS
Hebrews 10:20 ~ “by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,”
- We have access to the Lord through Him who is the New and Living Way.
6. UNION
1 Peter 2:4 ~ “As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,”
- As the Living Stone, He makes us living stones in His life.
7. GLORY
1 Peter 1:3 ~ “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
- As the Living Hope, He gives to His own a living and lasting inheritance.
