We are living in a society that has, over the past 50+ years, slowly degraded the role of the man, the husband, the head of the household. You see TV shows where men and husbands are portrayed as stupid and clumsy. We see in the homes, more and more, single parent households where the mom is the mom and dad, because dad is dead-beat. If the church is going to get back to the basics of what is needed in the church and in this world, we need to get back to the basics of what God intended from the beginning – the family unit. The devil is after the family unit – to destroy it! What do we as the church need to do? First of all, men need to become men again!

There are always great possibilities for the people of God. With Christian unity and effort, the victory can be won. Just think, if MEN would do what they could for the Lord, what would happen in our homes, families, churches, community, state, nation and world. Godly families need:

• Fathers who desires to exercise the faith

Jude 1:3 ~ “Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.”

• Longing to put your faith into practice

• Looking for a right time and place

• Listening only to the inner pleading

• Fathers who are devoted to be faithful

1 Corinthians 1:26 ~ “For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.”

• Faithful as a partner with Christ

• Faithful as a prayer warrior

• Faithful in practicing his Christianity for all to see

• Fathers who delight in fellowship

1 John 1:3 ~ “that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.”

• He that can be agreeable in love

• He that can be aggressive and take the lead

• Fathers who determines to follow Christ

Philippians 3:8-9 ~ “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—”

• He has made up his mind to follow Christ

• He means business about the future

• He keeps his promises to the Lord

• Fathers who are dedicated to serve the Lord

Revelation 3:8 ~ “I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”

• A God-given privilege to worship the Lord

• A good place to work in His church

• The greatest person in all the world – God, Lord, Savior, Redeemer

• Fathers who lives for eternity

2 Timothy 4:7-8 ~ “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”

• A day of rewards for our service

• A day of rejoicing with the saints
