God's Power and Holiness (July 12, 2026)

God is Able:

•     Save to the uttermost - hence to sanctify

Hebrews 7:25 “Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”

•     Make all grace abound - hence His grace is sufficient to cleanse

2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

•     Aid the tempted - hence He is able to keep us holy in times of temptation

Hebrews 2:18 “For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”

•     Make us stand - hence He is able to establish us unblamable in holiness

Romans 14:4 “Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.”

•     Subdue all things - hence to eradicate sin

Philippians 3:21 “who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.”

•     Keep us from falling - hence He can keep the sanctified at all times

Jude 24 “Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,”

•     Keep that which we have committed unto Him - hence to keep us under His cleansing blood

2 Timothy 1:12 “which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me.”

•     Perform what He has promised - hence to baptize us with the Holy Spirit as promised

Romans 4:21 “fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.”

•     Do abundantly above all we ask or think - hence to make us holy, keep us holy, and present us unto himself holy

Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”
