Below are the expectations that the Lead Pastor and Nursery Director are asking out of each member of our Nursery Team. We feel that while your child is in the nursery, we must do everything we can to ensure the safety of ALL children placed in our care, as well as teach them about who Jesus is. 1. Be always mindful of all children in the room.
2. Refrain from cell phone usage, only in case of emergency.
3. Only two adult volunteers per service, unless exception made by Lead Pastor.
4. Only adults that have been approved by Lead Pastor (background check and nursery checklist completed) may be in nursery unless parents dropping off children.
5. All volunteers must respond to schedule text and let the Pastor know if you are not able to work your scheduled service time at least 2 hours prior.
6. Volunteers need to be in the nursery at least 20 minutes prior to start of service.
7. After each service, make sure toys have been picked up, snacks and drinks cleaned up, dirty dishes rinsed and placed in bin, dirty linen pulled and placed in bin, and trash tied up and placed in green can outside.
8. Any toys that have been heavily used or placed in babies’ mouths, please wipe down with wipes.
9. Juices in refrigerator are for children only. We have waters in refrigerator for volunteers.
10. Volunteers scheduled may place personal items in designated place. If you are not scheduled, please do not leave items in nursery. All personal items will be cleaned out each week.
11. If a volunteer needs to leave during service, please let Nursery Director know prior to leaving.
12. No corporal punishment.
13. If you are not serving in nursery, please be sure to be in attendance for church. We all need a time of spiritual growth when we are not serving.
