Change is Coming (September 14, 2025)
Sermon Outline for Sunday, September 14, 2025
PASSAGES: Isaiah 3:5; Ephesians 6:12; 2 Chronicles 7:14
This morning is not about conspiracies, name calling, or political rhetoric. This morning is not about a man, but about an event, and not just one event, but several events this week, that has shifted our nation’s eyes toward Jesus. It is times like our nation is currently facing that it is even more important for us to keep ourselves focused on the message of Jesus and on the mission of salvation.
Several events have happened in the last few days that should cause you and I as Christians to WAKE UP!
It would not have surprised me one bit if the rapture of the church takes place at ANYTIME.
Isaiah 3:5 “5 And the people will oppress one another, every one his fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable.”
Isaiah talks about these last days and says there will be oppression, lawlessness, and anarchy sweeping throughout society. Neighbor will rise up against neighbor, children against their parents and the elderly, the base against the honorable. Respect for people will cease to exist. Disrespect, lawlessness, and violence will run rampant throughout society.
I am NOT trying to get anyone to look at this man, that will killed last Wednesday, and think, oh we need to be like him, we need to be his voice in this nation. NO … I want us all get get our head space around the fact that more trying times are coming and we need to be the voice coming from the wilderness crying out to a nation, Prepare the way of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God is coming!!! We need to be the light of Christ shining in a dark and dying world.
We live in a word were as of Saturday morning, over 180 people had been FIRED due to mocking or supporting the death of a 31 year old man that his only crime was challenging someone to talk to him. We need to get out into the highways and byways and tell someone about a man named Jesus!!!
It is past time to QUIT playing church, it is past time to QUIT playing like we are a Christian on Sunday and acting like the world the rest of the week, it is past time to get our priorities BACK in order with God and His church FIRST in our lives. YES we need our priorities re-arranged!!!
Parents are allowing the children to rule the house and wonder why the kids misbehave and get into trouble all the time. It is time for parents to become parents again. It is time for grandparents to be allowed to be grandparents again. It is time for respect for one another, for God, for God’s house to become a top priority in our lives once again.
Ephesians 6:12 “12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 AMP “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
