  • MOTHER’S DAY ~ May 12, 2024, make plans to join us as we celebrate all of our mothers!
  • PENTECOST SUNDAY ~ May 19, 2024 is Pentecost Sunday; join us as we dig deeper into God’s Word concerning the Holy Spirit!
  • GRADUATION SUNDAY ~ May 26 2024 – we have set aside this date to recognize and honor those who are graduating this year; Melanie Calvert and Kati Lambert. Each graduate will have a table set-up in the foyer displaying some of their achievements. Help us to honor them on this very special step in their lives. If you would like to give them a card with a note of encouragement, you can do so by placing the card on their table.
  • CAMP MEETING ~ Camp Meeting will be June 4-7, 2024 at Metro Church of God. Services will be live streamed and we will share the link on our Facebook Page each day. We will text ONCE on Tuesday evening the link for the weeks services. Also, there will be no services at Coosa Valley on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. If you are able, we would LOVE for you to join us at Metro during this week. Tuesday-Friday night at 7:00pm and Wednesday-Friday morning at 10:00am with a Ladies Service on Thursday Morning as well. Speakers will be: Tony Stewart (Tuesday Evening); Mark Carver (Wednesday Morning); Samuel Rodriguez (Wednesday Evening); Scott Sheppard (Thursday Morning); Jennie Garcia (Ladies Thursday Morning); Tim Hill (Thursday Evening); Dennis Page (Friday Morning); and Joe Dobbins (Friday Evening).
  • GENERAL ASSEMBLY ~ This is General Assembly year. This is a very important time for the Church of God. I urge each of you to take time to watch the LIVE FEED as you are able to see all that is happening during this week (July 8-12). We will be sharing the links on our Facebook page and Text Tree. Please join us NOW in prayer for this very important time.
  • CHAPEL IN THE PINES ~ Pastor Andy will be speaking on Sunday Morning, July 28, 2024 at 8:00am at Chapel in the Pines at Lakeside Park.

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL DEVOTIONS ~ Be sure to check out the Sunday School Devotional Readings each day to help prepare for the upcoming Sunday School Lesson. Those devotional readings can be found for each week here –> https://cvcog.church/note/sslesson/
  • SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS ~ We are SO EXCITED about ALL OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES from our Nursery Class, (ages 1-5) FBI Class (ages 5-13), our Teens (Ages 13-18), our Young Adults (ages 19-30) and our Adults. Each of our classes will be focusing on each student learning how to study the Bible for yourself. These classes will be looking at topics, scriptures and more to urge a deeper relationship with God. Be sure to make plans NOW to be in attendance in any of our other Sunday School Classes that start at 9:45am on each Sunday!!!
  • WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY FOCUS ~ We have moved into a new season for Bible Study called GATHERED BIBLE STUDY. This will be a time for more focused and directed Bible Study as we dig deeper into God’s Word to help our lives GROW stronger in God. We have classes for ALL ages and are excited to see what God is going to do through each of us at CV!!! Classes include our KIDZ (ages 4-12), Teens and Young Adults (Ages 13-30) and Adults. Come and be a part of what God is doing at CV!!!

  • PODCASTS ~ We are now on multiple Podcast Apps: CV Website, Amazon Music, Google Music, iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube Podcasts.

 

 

 

HOW CAN I HELP?

  • SERVE – Visit I WANT TO SERVE to find out more or you can text SERVE to 205.642.8744.
  • NURSERY ~ We are currently seeking volunteers for the nursery. This needs to be a one to two person team, depending on the number of children that class, who are willing to be a part of the nursery team to cover the Sunday School timeframe (Sunday 9:40am – 10:45am) and Morning Worship (10:45am – 12:30pm) and Wednesday Bible Study (6:25pm – 7:30pm). Each person MUST pass a background check before any consideration will be given. If you would like to be on this rotation schedule, please see Pastor Andy or text him on his cell or text the church (205.642.8744).
  • CV KIDZ VOLUNTEERS ~ Just as a reminder, we need volunteers on Wednesday evening to help with our CV KIDZ class. If you would like to be a part of the rotation, please see Pastor Andy, text him on his cell, or text the church (205.642.8744). All volunteers MUST pass a background check BEFORE any consideration will be given.
  • GIVE – you can give to the many areas of MISSIONS and MINISTRIES at CV, this helps us continue to serve each other, our community and continue to be the HANDS AND FEET of God!   • ALUMINUM CANS – Don’t throw them away, bag them and place them in the “CAGE” at the church. We will recycle them and all monies go towards Mission Programs we are supporting at CV.
  • I CAN HELP ~ This is a NEW ministry we are introducing here at CV. We are helping and keeping in contact with our home bound families, widows and others connected to CV. Want to help? Text ‘I CAN HELP’ to 205.642.8744 for more information and to find out areas where YOU CAN HELP!!
