Cemetery Rules and Regulations
Adopted and in effect as of November 12, 2007
Opening and Closing of all full size graves is $700 payable to the Church.
1. The Coosa Valley Church of God Cemetery is owned and operated solely by Coosa Valley Church of God and is governed by the Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee. The Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee will only grant lots for internment purposes to attending members of the Coosa Valley Church of God.
2. Cemetery interment spaces thus are granted and not transferable. If not used by the original owner all rights revert to the Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee. No one granted a lot will be allowed to sell it.
3. No monument or other memorial, tree, plant, object, or embellishments of any kind shall be placed upon, altered, or removed from said parcel of land by grantee without the written consent of the Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee. No shrubbery or living plants, excepts in pots, will be allowed.
4. During grass cutting season, pots of flowers must be kept on the grave in such a way as to not hinder grass cutting.
5. Lot owners are requested to remove flowers when they are old and unsightly. Any seasonal decorations should be removed in a timely fashion. The Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee reserves the right to remove old and unsightly flowers at any time.
6. No graves will be opened without the consent of the Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee. The Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee will be responsible for scheduling the opening/closing of each grave. The fee for opening/closing graves will be adjusted based on charge to the cemetery committee and will have a perpetual care fee added.
7. The Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee should be notified before erecting head markers or foot markers to keep markers in line.
8. Unauthorized machinery will not be permitted in the cemetery.
9. No brick, block or concrete walls or fences will be allowed.
10. The herein enumerated conditions shall not be considered as the only limitations and grantee’s right title and interest but shall be subject to the rules and regulations now in effect or which may hereafter be adopted or enacted for the control, regulation, and government of said cemetery. The rules and regulations are on file for inspection in the office of Coosa Valley Church of God and on the CV Web Site at https://cvcog.church/cemetery.
11. The conditions, reservations, and regulations herein mentioned are referred to are binding on the grantee, his heirs, devises, executors, administrators, and assigns, and are enforceable only by the grantor or its successors in interest.
12. Any deviation from the above rules and regulations will be left solely to the discretion of the Pastor and the Coosa Valley Cemetery Committee.
