1 Thessalonians 5:12–13 ~ And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
The profession of “Pastor” is now third place to the bottom of the most-respected professions.
Many denominations are reporting an "Empty Pulpit Crisis". They do not have a shortage of ministers but have a shortage of ministers desiring to fill
the role of a pastor.
What does your pastor and his family do for you?
• They Lead You With His Word
Jeremiah 3:15 ~ And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Matthew 4:4 ~ But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
• They Preach and Give You Instruction
2 Timothy 4:2 ~ Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
• They Inspire Others By Their Example
1 Corinthians 11:1 ~ Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
• They Encourage and Pray For You
James 5:16 ~ The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
• They Love You!
John 13:34 ~ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
