BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT (Pentecost)
Central Truth: God gave the Holy Spirit so every believer in Christ may be filled with the Spirit. Focus: Understand that the fulfillment of God’s promise to give the Holy Spirit in abundance began on the Day of Pentecost, and be filled with the Spirit. Evangelism Emphasis: By repenting and believing in Christ, sinners are saved and can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Golden Text: “The promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call” (Acts 2:39).
