The little word BE is very important, especially when used as a prefix. BE thankful, BE doers of the Word, BE kindly affectionate, BE filled with the spirit.
- FOR OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR – Galatians 2:20 ~ “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
- We thank Him for His love.
Romans 5:8 ~ “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
- We thank Him for His life.
John 5:24 ~ “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
- We thank Him for His light.
John 8:12 ~ “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- FOR THE LIGHT OF THE SCRIPTURE – Psalm 119:105 ~ “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
- God’s information to teach us.
- God’s instruction to train us.
- God’s inspiration to temper us.
- FOR THE LEADERSHIP OF THE SPIRIT – Romans 8:9–16
- The Holy Spirit is given to the believer.
Romans 5:5 ~ “and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
- The Holy Spirit will govern the believer.
- FOR A LASTING SALVATION – John 10:28–29 ~ “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”
- Our Salvation is God’s gift for us.
- Our Salvation is God’s grace in us.
- Our Salvation is given for good to us.
- FOR THE LOVE OF THE SAINTS – 1 John 4:7–10 ~ “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
- First, it’s God’s love in us. Amen
- Then, it’s God’s love through us.
- Finally, it’s God’s love among us.
- FOR YOUR LIFE OF SERVICE – 2 Timothy 4:6–8 ~ “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”
- Your talent is God-given; use it, don’t abuse it.
- Your time is God’s grace; use it, don’t abuse it.
- Your tithe is God’s; don’t use it and abuse it.
- FOR LISTENING FOR THE SHOUT – 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 ~ “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
- Remembering the Lord’s promises.
- Ready for the leaving progression.
- Reaching out for the lost people.
