LET’S GET BACK!!!

Joshua 3:1–5 ESV

Then Joshua rose early in the morning and they set out from Shittim. And they came to the Jordan, he and all the people of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over.

At the end of three days the officers went through the camp

and commanded the people, “As soon as you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God being carried by the Levitical priests, then you shall set out from your place and follow it.

Yet there shall be a distance between you and it, about 2,000 cubits in length. Do not come near it, in order that you may know the way you shall go, for you have not passed this way before.”

Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

NEW WAY

Joshua 3:4 ESV

Yet there shall be a distance between you and it, about 2,000 cubits in length. Do not come near it, in order that you may know the way you shall go, for you have not passed this way before.”

“… that you may know the way you shall go, for you have not passed this way before.”

Job 23:10 ESV

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.

“But He knows the way …”

We must follow the Word of God, the Spirit of God, because HE knows the way we need to go.

These past two years have changed EVERYTHING about how we “do” church.

NEW WALK

Joshua 3:5 ESV

Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

“Sanctify yourselves …”

• God is referring to ceremonial and external cleansing; moral and internal cleansing.

• Things have changed not only with the way we “do” church; but with the priority we have with church.

• He wants ALL of us; ALL of our beings; ALL of our mind back to our FIRST LOVE … that is HIM!!!

NEW WONDERS

Joshua 3:5 ESV

Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

“ … for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

• God is a God of wonders:

Psalm 77:14 ESV

You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.

• If we would “sanctify” ourselves in the sense of cleansing ourselves from the inside out; dedicating ourselves wholly to the Lord; He will do wonders among us this year.

• He has promised …

2 Chronicles 16:9 ESV

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.”

May this be the year of LET’S GET BACK!!!
